Time to Catch Up

Ok so I'm a major slacker and I fully admit it. It's been nearly a year since I last did an entry. Life has been pretty hectic to say the least. The kids are out of school for the summer which I THOUGHT I was looking forward to, but now. I can't wait for them to go back. Oh the fighting!!! You know that Christmas song, "And mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again." I use to think that line was mean. But I totally get it. What would we do without school?

So anyway, My children are now in the first and second grade. Chris had a graduation ceremony for Kindergarten and I cried like the baby
. My babies aren't babies any more. They are now both "graders" in school. : ( They are so smart and surprise me more and more every day.

During the summer the kids have been doing swimming lessons and hanging out with their friends. We spend most of the week at the park. And take Fridays off. I feel equally busy during the summer as I am during the school year.

As for me, It's nice having the summer off. Yeah we are busy, but We're building memories the kids are going to remember for the rest of their lives. I love knowing that. During the school year I spend A LOT of time volunteering in the classrooms. This year will be different though. Now that both kids will be full day school I am going to go back to school. I don't want to teach anymore. Not at this moment anyway. I would like to be a nurse and work on the labor and delivery floor of a hospital. Sounds like fun doesn't it? So I'm going to go back to school and spend some free time volunteering in a hospital just to be sure that this is something I really want to do. I'm really looking forward to it.

Aris has officially graduated and now has a bachelors in Electronic Engineering. He's now looking for a new job so that he can actually use his degree. Did you know they say for every it takes a month of job hunting for every $10,000 you wish to make. This is proving true in Aris' case. So we will just have to wait and see what happens.

We have a wonderful family and love being with each other. We have made some wonderful friends since we moved to RB and can't imagine living anywhere else. This neighborhood is like family. But if for some reason Aris finds a job else where we will happily relocate so he can get his career going. Well that's enough for now.
